ISTANBUL WEEKEND (for groups)

To better understand the atmosphere of black and white in Istanbul, which accentuates this sense of sadness and makes it inexorable , like a fate common to all people , you have to land here from a rich western city and begin to turn now to the streets crowded ... I really like the kids discover that their mothers holding hands , in every garden in the city, the street vendors who today are everywhere in Istanbul, with their colorful clothes, the stalls , the food and the disconsolate expression , the young man throws his fishing line into the calm sea from the shore of the port of Besiktas ... and finally the seller of donuts with his tripod , equal to those of my childhood.

From " Istanbul" by Orhan Pamuk
